About the Media Center
The Bloomingdale School Library Media Center has a collection of books appropriate for the kindergarten, first and second grade student. The students visit the library every other week for scheduled library period.The students are given times to select a new library book to bring home. In addition, they receive instruction complimenting the classroom curriculum as well as library skills and literature appreciation.

Checking out, Renewing, and Returning Items
Materials are checked out for two weeks. Children may renew a book they have not finished reading.
If a book is lost or returned damaged, it is the responsibility of the child’s family to pay for the book.

Birthday Book Club
During the month of your child’s birthday, a notice will be sent home inviting you to participate in the Birthday Book Club. You may donate any book of your choice to the school library. A bookplate will be placed in the book acknowledging the gift with your name and date.
