Pumpkin painting was a great success. It was definitely less chaotic than it would have been after school in the gym. It would definitely not be Halloween with out the 5th grade student council annual pumpkin painting! The student council members think the younger groups of kids painted better than past years and they were really cooperative. During the three days of pumpkin painting the Brookside Place School student council sold 282 pumpkins! The different pumpkins we saw were really bright and creative. Some of the pumpkins were witches, ghosts, and just regular faces. Some also had interesting designs on them and others were just a bunch of colors mixed together. The money raised during pumpkin painting is going toward new recess equipment. We want to say a big thank you to Dreyer’s Farms for supplying us with the pumpkins. We also want to say thank you to Mrs. Salls and Mrs. Scholz for letting us hold the pumpkin painting in their classrooms. Once again, thank you to all Brookside Place students for making pumpkin painting such a big success.
