The Cranford Cheerleaders have come a long way. This year they are not only cheering for the fall and winter sports they are involved in competitions and cheering for the Nets. They have so far been in three competitions and have two more coming. There is only two weeks left in the season but it was a great one. There are 19 of them.

It was a very exciting year full of new events and new experiences. They attended a camp at Rutgers and cheered at a Nets NBA basketball game at the IZOD center. The coach Ms. Savino is very good at getting us involved in new things. Our first competition was in Edison. We came in fifth place. For our first competition we did great. The second competition was in Bridgewater. It was a great competition and a lot of teams there. We came in fourth place. The last competition we had was right in Kenilworth. Last year we went and watched this competition is see what competitions were like; so it was very exciting and different. It was different because it is such a change from watching a competition and actually be in one. We came in third place. This weekend we have one in Trenton and our last one will be March 9th in Rahway.
