Forensics Team
Advisor- Ms. Huljack

The Forensics Team is open to all students who have an interest in furthering their ability to speak and reason logically and accurately.  Activities include participation in interscholastic debates.  There are also individual speech competitions in impromptu speaking, oratory, etc.  Competitions with neighboring high schools and visits to college tournaments are all organized by the Newark Catholic Forensics League. Meeting time to practice your piece or debating skills is organized by the indivudual and Ms. Huljack. Times are flexible and practicing at home is suggested.

Literary Society
Advisor- Mr. Maiore

Literary Society is the high school's book club. Usually two members volunteer to present their views of a book per meeting.  The books discussed run the gamut from classical to modern stories.  Highlights of the year's activities are trips to plays and movies, home video viewing of the books read, and a holiday dinner. Literary Society meets Friday mornings at 7:30 in Mr. Maiore's room. In order to become a participant of this club you must sign up in the beginning of the year.
