American Sign Language
Advisor- Ms. Becker

       The purpose of the American Sign Language club is to introduce students to sign language and the culture of the deaf community. Together we explore and practice ASL through dialogues, skits, games, videos, and guest speakers. The club is open to all students.



Chess Club
Advisor- Mr. Schugel

        Membership is open to any student, grades 9 - 12, who is interested in learning about chess. Activities include chess lessons, chess tournaments, field trips and fund raisers.



Future Educators of America
Advisor- Ms. Narus

        In conjecture with the Ready, Set, Teach course, (a double-period class offered at Cranford High School for those students interested in the field of teaching and education), students continue to explore teaching as a profession. The club assists these future educators to establish a firm background in education, preparing them for their career. Future Educators meets every other thursday morning in A102. New members are welcome.



Golden C Production
Advisor- Mr. Dugandzic

        The high school yearbook, GOLDEN C, which includes a Spring Supplement, is published annually by members of the senior class.  Membership on the yearbook staff is by application; editors are chosen from among staff members.  Most staff members take Introduction to Publications as a junior elective, learning techniques of design, photography, and copy writing.  Staff members are enrolled in a semester class, Yearbook, and work on the book throughout the school year.
Meets every Wednesday morning at 7:45am
Anyone is welcome to join whenever



Gourmet Club
Advisor- Ms. Schmitt

        Pupils who have an appreciation of special kinds of foods and their preparation will find this club an ideal outlet for their culinary interests. Our purpose is to: develop culinary skills; bring people together with a common interest in food and culinary arts; provide information about pursuing an education and career in food hospitality and entertainment; sponsor community service activity.
Membership is open to all interested students.
Meets every other Wednesday morning at 7:30pm.



Guitar Club
Advisor- Mr. Segear and Mr. Campbell

        Encourages novice and more experienced musicians to experiment and play at CHS coffeehouses.
Thursday from 3:00-4:00pm

Quilting Club
Advisor- Ms. Narus

        CHS offers three semester courses that pertain to sewing skills. At the request of students, the Quilting Club was formed to afford students an opportunity to expand upon and develop these skills that may later lead to further education in sewing quilting, fashion, etc. Overall, the club provides students with a common interest in quilting to come together, and to participate in community service activities.



Share the Dream Club
Advisor- Ms. Campbell

       This club seeks to address the concerns of minorities through discussions, field trips, and social activities.



Stage Crew
Advisor- Mr. Eaton

        Stage Crew members learn lighting and other production skills to provide technical assistance during school productions. The club participates in all school plays and productions.



Strategists Club
Advisor - Ms. Salerno

        The Strategists Club is one of diplomacy and military tactics. The club organizes board game competitions with strategic games like Risk, Axis and Allies, and Stratego. Conquer the world one turn at a time!
Meets Tuesdays from 3:00-5:00pm
Continues all year round.



Ultimate Frisbee Club
Advisor - Mr. R. Bell

        The Ultimate Frisbee Club is a new club that meets on Fridays for games of- you guessed it- ultimate frisbee. Ultimate Frisbee club is somewhat seasonal ("summer rules" don't apply in December!)- it is played outside during the warmer months and inside during the winter. This is probably the most athletic-oriented club.
Fridays 3:15-5:00pm
Continues all year round, rain or shine.



Usher's Club
Advisor- Ms. Gordon

        Member is open to all students.  The ushers assist with seating at evening performances in the high school, commencement, or any other appropriate activity.  Any student interested should submit his/her name to the club advisor.



Visible Women Club
Advisor - Ms. O'Donnell

       The Visible Women is a club open to all students who are interested in discussing the roles of wmen in modern society. Designated to educate the student body on women's issues, the club meets to discuss and promote positive attitudes toward women and explore current issues - social, legal, and domestic.
