Q: Did any of your friends of family perish in the war?
A: No, thankfully.

Q: What exactly did your husband do during the war?
A: He was in the 101 Air Borne Division. He was the private chauffer for the 5 Star Generals of the war. He was stationed in Europe for 3 years without any leave. General Patton and General Davis were among the generals he drove during the war.

Q: Approximately how many people do you think he killed in the war?
A: Although he did not fight he did bring the Generals to the front line where he witnessed others being killed. While there he came down with Milaria, he was treated in the hospital and sent back to the front line with the generals.

Q: What was your husbands name?
A: Staff Sergant Vincent A. Suchak.

Q: Where did you and your husband live at the time of war?
A: We lived in Bayonne, New Jersey, he was drafted after only four months of marriage.

Q: How old was he when he went in to serve?
A: He was twenty seven years old.

Q: What do you feel about the problems with Iraq and the United States?
A: Iraq is going against the United Nations with the weapons they have. They were also hiding Al Kada soldiers, they probably were aware of the World Trade Center bombing. Although I don't want it to happen again, the United States will most likely will be forced into war.

Q: Was your husband proud to fight during World War II?
A: When Vincent came home from the war he was very angry, he burned almost everything associated with the war. He never wanted to talk about what he had seen and or did. The metals he recieved during the war he gave to his children to play with.

Q: Why did you enter the war?
A: After Pearl Harbor was bombed everyone was drafted and expected to serve in the armed forces. Prior to the war, he was a chauffer for a funeral palor with a letter of recommendation he was able to get the postion for chaffuer for the generals.
