Scholarship opportunities arrive every day!
Students are urged to avail themselves of these opportunities early in the school year.
Scholarship information will be posted in senior homerooms, posted on the scholarship bulletin board located in the Guidance Showcase,
announced during homeroom announcements.
A file cabinet had been established for easy access to scholarship opportunities.
It is located in the Guidance Office. Be sure to follow through if a scholarship applies to you!

The American Legion
The American Legion is pleased to be able to provide you with a 152 page revised edition book that list scholarships, grants, and loans for which students may qualify. Community Foundation of New Jersey: Keith Hightower Scholarship
Applicants for this scholarship must have participated in science and math competition or participated in independent scientific research during their high school careers. The grant is not less than $4,000. Application and additional information is available in guidance.

Cranford Education Association
The Philanthropic Fund of Cranford Education Association has been granting scholarships to high school graduation seniors since June 1995. All high school graduation seniors in Cranford are eligible whose parent(s) are members of the Cranford Education Association. Cranford Junior Women's Club
Any graduating senior who is a resident of Cranford and will be continuing their education at an accredited instate of higher learning; two or four year college, secretarial, trade, nursing, or technical schools is eligible to receive this one-year education grant. Elks Most Valuable Students Scholarships
Graduating senior may apply for awards based on activities, leadership and need.

Hiriam College Scholarships
Scholarship amount is dependent on GPA and SAT score. A 3.7 GPA with a 1200 SAT score gets $15,000, a 3.4 GPA with a 1000 SAT score gets $12,000, and a 3.0 GPA with a 900 SAT score gets $10,000. Scholarship is awarded automatically upon acceptance.
Jon M. Pritsch Memorial Golf Fund
This scholarship is for all those who have played golf as a member of their high school golf team and are interested in a career in a golf-related field. An applicant must have been accepted to either the professional golf management program or the school of agronomy at an accredited college or university. KFC Colonel's Scholarship
The KFC Colonel's Scholarship Program was created in 2006 and is dedicated to assisting students with financial need who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree at public institution with their legal state of residence. To qualify, a student must be:
Graduating from high school this year between 12/1/09 and 8/31/10
Maintaining a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Enrolling in a public, in-state college or university no later than 9/30/10
Pursuing a bachelor's degree
A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Student may begin their college career by enter into either 2 or 4 year accredited, public(state-funded) college or university, as long as they stay on track to complete a Bachelor's Degree program. Complete the online application at www.KFCscholars.org
McKelvey Foundation
The McKelvey Foundation is pleased to offer students the opportunity to apply for the McKelvey Foundation Entrepreneurial Scholarships award. The scholarship is available to all high school seniors who have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating their own business while in high school.

MetroPCS Community Scholars Program
MetroPCS and Kyocera are awarding a $25,000 grand prize scholarship, either-three 2,500 local market scholarships and a Kyocera phone with one year free MetroPCS service to high school seniors that get involved in their community. The application is available on-line.

Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association
The scholarship will be awarded annually and paid $1,000 each to a male and female candidate. You must be a graduating senior and attending any type of formal post high school education. Additional information and application is available in guidance or on-line.

National Kitchen and Bath Association--North New Jersey Chapter
The awards shall be used to further each recipient's education at a college, professional, technical, vocational, or business school that will result in enhancing recipients' marketability in the Design community. Three one-time non-renewable scholarships are available to applicants. Application and additional information are available in guidance.

The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA)
The NJSCPA is offering scholarship opportunities to New Jersey High School seniors, ranging from $6,500 to $8,500. The High School Scholarship Program is open to all New Jersey high school college-bound seniors who plan to pursue a career in accounting. Scholarships are based on academic standing, standardized test scores, an essay and perform at a person interview. Students do not have to be currently enrolled in an accounting class to apply. Application forms are available on-line and can be submitted on-line.

NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation (YEF)
Graduating high school seniors who are entering his or her freshman year at an accredited two or four year university, college, or vocational institute in the fall of 2009 and who demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and initiative through examples such as: starting his/her own business, participating in organizations such as DECA, Future Business Leaders of America, among others are encourage to apply.

NJ Chronic Fatigues Syndrome Association, Inc.
The NJ Chronic Fatigues Syndrome Association, Inc. is sponsoring a scholarship for the amount of $1,000 to be awarded to graduating seniors in the class 2010 who has ME/CFS. He/she will have applied to and been accepted or enrolled, full or part time, in a college (2-year or 4-year), university, or an accredited technical school for the 2010-2011 school year. Ron Brown Scholar Program
Academically talented, highly motivated African American students who plan to pursue an undergraduate degree are eligible to apply for scholarships worth $10,000 per year.

Spencer Saving Bank Scholarship
The program will grant one of your graduating high school students with a $1,000 scholarship check. Student must have potential interest in banking, business or finance, history of community service and leadership, an excellent GPA, and a household income at or below $70,720. Tekmark Global Solutions Scholarship
They will be offering two $1,500 scholarships to bright and talented students to assist in the furthering their education. These scholarships are open to high school seniors that plan on attending Rutgers University or Rider University as incoming freshman and are majoring in Engineering/ Engineering Technology, Computer Science/MUIS, or Telecommunication/Information Technology. Washington Crossing Foundation
