How to Compost:
Materials- organic materials, dried leaves, straw, wood chips, grass clippings, melon rinds, carrot peelings, tea bags, apple cores, banana peels, pasta (no sauce), bread (plain), crushed eggs shells, coffee grinds wood shavings,
DO NOT PUT IN- meat, meat products, dairy or high fat foods like dressing or peanut butter
How- The materials should be placed in a compost bin with holes it. The container should be able to rotate for maximum composting. The bin should be warm if it is working properly and should not smell. The greens and neutrals in your pile should be balanced in order for the pile to efficiently decompose. When done properly this produces a very fertile soil that can be used in a garden.
