News and Updates
OAS Reading Garden

I am proud to share the updates on the beautification of the OAS Reading Garden.
The GSCTW Team worked diligently all day under the leadership of site supervisors Alisha Hooey and Teresa Wilson. We want to extend a community thank you to Andrew Hooey who also designed and led the project, as well as utilizing employees from his company, Northeast Roof Maintenance, to assist. In addition, a warm thank you to Mr. Emilo DiFabio, of DiFabio Construction Company, for donating concrete, machinery and time to our project. Alongside the generous donation of time and employees from Goldman Sachs, we received donations and assistance from Jeff’s Landscaping, Bartell’s Garden Center, Dreyer’s Farms and Home Depot. Our PEER Leaders, under the guidance of Ms. Braxton welcomed and worked with our volunteers all day. The end result is a beautiful and inviting reading garden that is truly a community space and continues our OAS committment to literacy. We are planning a ribbon cutting ceremony and will share details with you when they are finalized.
