Pathways 6-8
Pathways Services for Grades 6-8 Students:
Grade 6, 7 and 8 INVESTIGATIONS
Lessons are focused around an interdisciplinary theme that carries throughout the year. With guidance from the P2E teacher, students select a topic aligned with the annual P2E theme and are immersed in reading, writing, and research on the chosen topic of choice. P2E teachers instruct the students through mini-lessons on various topics and skills related to the theme along with research, presentation, and public-speaking skills. The 21st century skills of communication, collaboration, creative problem solving, and critical thinking are incorporated into the curriculum. Field experiences and guest speakers also enhance the P2E lessons. Students celebrate their accomplishments with family and friends at the P2E Showcase held annually in June.
