On Saturday, october 20th, a group of about 35 Hillside Avenue School students, parents and staff attended the annual weekend hike to the Watching Reservation. The purpose of the hike was for students to engross themsleves in nature and casually learn along the way. Led by Mr. Fichter and Miss Laudano, students learned a little about the geology and ecology of the reservation, and were able to socialize in a different way otuside the walls of the classroom. This was the fourth year the hike has been offered, and a second hike will beplanned for next Spring. We look forward to continuing this tradition and would like to thank all those who participated!
