Student Orchestra Performs for Seniors

BPS Orchestra Performs for Seniors

Members of the Brookside Place School Orchestra brought the sweet sounds of the holiday season to the residents of Atria, an assisted living community in Cranford. Thirty four students including third, fourth and fifth graders performed selections including Up on the Housetop, Chanukah Chanukah, and Skaters' Waltz. “This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the students' instrumental skills and engage in community service,” explained Ms. Christine Lee, orchestra director at Brookside Place School. “It was wonderful to see how proud the students were of their growth and how much the senior enjoyed the performance.”  After the show, the students shared some additional holiday spirit by presenting handmade holiday cards they created.
