New Bloomingdale Principal

The Cranford Board of Education is pleased to announce Kristen D’Anna as the new Principal of Bloomingdale Avenue School. Ms. D’Anna was selected after an extensive search process which included multiple interviews with the selection committee, reviews of work samples, and a very thorough reference check. 

Ms. D’Anna began her career as an elementary school teacher in the Freehold Township School District in 2004 where she taught first, second, and third grades. Additionally, Ms. D’Anna served on numerous curriculum committees, was a member of the Intervention and Referral Services Team, School Improvement Panel and Positive Behavior Intervention Support Committee. In 2015, Ms. D’Anna transitioned into administration as the Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction, PK-8, in East Hanover Township Schools. During this time, she supported the enhancement of teaching and learning practices throughout the district, while also serving as the Program Coordinator for all federal grants and Title I Programs. Most recently, Ms. D’Anna served as the Principal of the kindergarten through second grade school in East Hanover. 

Ms. D’Anna earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware and a Masters of Arts in Educational Administration from Georgian Court University. 

Ms. D’Anna is honored to be joining the Cranford School District as the Principal of Bloomingdale Avenue School. She looks forward to partnering with the dedicated staff at Bloomingdale, parents/guardians, students and the community to see how she can best serve the school and ensure a successful year for all students.
